Apprenticeships
What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are real jobs with real employers, allowing you to work, earn a salary and gain valuable qualifications and experience. With over 600 different apprenticeship standards covering everything from accountancy to zoo keeping, there is an apprenticeship out there for everyone.
Apprenticeships are availe to individuals aged 16 and above and most apprentices are employed for at least 30 hours per week. While all apprentices will earn a salary of at least the National Mainimum Wage, many employers pay more. No apprenticeship should pay for their training - all costs should be paid for the employer and/or the Government.
Most apprenticeships take between 1 and 4 years to complete and they can give you the equiverlent of a GCSE all the way up to degree.
